ENDODONTICS AND CONSERVATIVE

AT ALBERT&BARBER WE SAVE TEETH

At ALBERT&BARBER we treat each patient in a personalized way so that they can recover their oral health and the full functionality of their mouth. Our mission is to take care of your teeth so that they last a lifetime.

Let us remember that dental prevention is essential to maintain excellent oral health and avoid the development of oral diseases.

Conservative dentistry encompasses a set of treatments that provide the necessary measures to PREVENT and PRESERVE natural teeth as long as possible in the mouth.

In ALBERT&BARBER we have Dr. Patricia Almenar specialist in endodontics and conservative, she is responsible for preventing and maintaining the teeth of our patients, and quickly treat small problems before they can get worse. That is why we carry a clinical and radiographic control at each visit controlling incipient caries lesions and preventing inflammatory processes.

FILLINGS AND RESTORATIONS

Thanks to composite restorations at ALBERT&BARBER we can replace lost dental tissue, either due to caries or fracture, using biocompatible resins.

The treatment of cavities with composite fillings (also called "fillings") is a very common and simple dental restoration procedure. We can also restore a tooth after trauma, achieving esthetics and proper function of the tooth.

The procedure begins by removing the affected dental tissue by cleaning the dental cavity and then filling it with composite in order to recover the lost structure and anatomy as minimally invasive restorations

INLAYS

An inlay consists of filling dental pieces to restore their esthetics and repair damage when the tooth has a fairly large cavity or is missing an important part.

An inlay is a piece of esthetic restorative material that simulates the shape of the lost dental material and is cemented onto the tooth . These types of restorations are very resistant and easy to perform and offer an excellent alternative to full porcelain crowns, as they are less aggressive with your tooth and allow us to preserve all the remaining structure.

Thanks to inlays we can perfectly reproduce the morphology of the tooth and restore the lost esthetics without having to remove healthy tissue.

ENDODONTICS

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the dental pulp and tissues around the root. The pulp is important during the growth and formation of the tooth. However, when the tooth has fully matured, it can survive without the pulp. Alteration of the health of the tooth pulp can be due to different causes, such as deep caries lesions or dental trauma.

Endodontic treatments are procedures that treat the inside of the tooth or seek to preserve its health and integrity, in order to maintain the natural dentition, the surrounding bone and gum, as well as its functionality.

Colloquially we tend to say that when performing an endodontic treatment, we have to 'kill the nerve', but this is not correct. Endodontics consists of eliminating the pulp tissue (nerve) by means of a mechano-chemical preparation and subsequent sealing of the inside of the root with a filling material known as gutta-percha. Therefore, the most appropriate expressions to use are 'devitalize the tooth','perform a root canal treatment' or 'perform an endodoncy'.

When a tooth is severely infected and requires endodontic treatment, that treatment is designed to remove the bacteria from the canals of the tooth, prevent reinfection and save the natural tooth.
