INVISIBLE ORTHODONTICS in valencia

Orthodontic treatment can change a person's life.

Dr. Carla Barber is a vocational orthodontist and still remembers what her process with orthodontic treatment was like as a teenager, especially how she felt the day she had her braces removed and saw herself in the mirror. That experience marked him so much that he is now dedicated to helping his patients improve the functionality of their mouths, but also to increase their self-esteem.

Orthodontics is the part of dentistry aimed at the study, prevention and treatment of the position of your teeth. Its objective is to align them correctly and solve problems related to the bite called dental malocclusion.

At ALBERT&BARBER we understand that no two orthodontic treatments are the same, which is why at our orthodontic clinic in Valencia we analyze each case in a personalized way. We will explain in detail what your diagnosis is and what your treatment plan will be like, adapting to the ideal technique for you. In addition, thanks to advances in technology, we can offer you a simulation of your case and, after the orthodontic study, we will offer you the best solution.

Throughout this process, Dr. Carla Barber and her team at the Albert and Barber Clinic remain at the patient's side to answer questions and ensure their well-being.

In our clinic we know the importance of dental aesthetics for the self-esteem of our patients. With invisible orthodontics you can have the smile you have always dreamed of without giving up the natural aesthetics of your mouth.

Invisible orthodontics combines discretion, hygiene and precision in the movement of teeth. Removable transparent splints, which are located on the outside of the teeth and are practically imperceptible to the eye, are responsible for correcting the position of the teeth. They are custom-made and made of a resistant plastic material (polycarbonate).

Its use is very simple, in fact, the patient himself can remove it at mealtimes and put it back at the end of the meal. The splint is placed over the dental arch and remains static in that position.

The splints are changed periodically as indicated by the orthodontist, who will check the progress of the treatment at the various check-ups.

*VIVERA® RETAINERS

After completion of orthodontic treatment comes the retention phase.

Your treatment does not end when we remove the appliance, because we need to maintain the results for years. Care after orthodontic removal is as important as the process itself, and it is essential to prevent the teeth from returning to their initial position (relapse) through the continued use of retainers.

Vivera® retainers are made with the same advanced technology as Invisalign® aligners. This means that when you wear Vivera® retainers to maintain your new smile, you get an extremely precise fit and a smooth finish that is securely fastened, offering enhanced comfort.

INVISIBLE ORTHODONTICS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Children and adolescents who are still growing can also enjoy the advantages of invisible orthodontics.

For them, only the procedure changes, since they adapt to the bone modifications and the change of teeth. It does not cause friction or sores in the mouth. It allows them to brush their teeth normally. They can eat anything and practice any activity without fear of an involuntary blow. In addition, there are 11 themed stickers that they can play with to personalize their splint.

REMOTE INVISIBLE ORTHODONTICS

If you live abroad or are moving abroad for a longer period of time, we have an exclusive virtual follow-up platform through which Dr. Carla Barber can follow your case as if you were in the office. This platform allows us to verify each aligner and detect the correct evolution of the treatment.

An initial face-to-face consultation will be necessary to generate a digital treatment plan with the intraoral scanner and a subsequent appointment for the placement of the aligners.

The following check-ups can be extended in time without any problem and will be planned on a case-by-case basis. We will calculate the time you will be out and deliver the necessary aligners.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Invisible orthodontics combines discretion, hygiene and precision in the movement of teeth. Removable transparent splints, which are located on the outside of the teeth and are practically imperceptible to the eye, are responsible for correcting the position of the teeth. They are custom-made and made of a resistant plastic material (polycarbonate). The splints are changed periodically as indicated by the orthodontist, who will check the progress of the treatment at the various check-ups.

  • The time depends on the patient and the malocclusion he/she presents, but compared to other orthodontic devices, treatment time can be reduced.

  • Both treatments are totally predictable. However, with orthodontics with aligners, apart from the fact that it is a totally esthetic treatment and that the patient has better accessibility to hygiene, there is a key mechanical advantage; and that is that we can predict the movements to be made and mark the forces we want for each tooth.

  • This treatment can be performed on both children and adults and is individualized for each case.

  • It is important to remove it for eating, since it could cause discomfort.

  • The doctor will evaluate each case and indicate changes every 7 to 10 days.

  • In this case you should consult with the clinic to evaluate the placement of the next aligner or return to the previous one.
