ORTHODONTICS in Valencia

Orthodontic treatment can change a person's life.

Dr. Carla Barber is a vocational orthodontist and still remembers what her process with orthodontic treatment was like as a teenager, especially how she felt the day she had her braces removed and saw herself in the mirror. That experience marked him so much that he is now dedicated to helping his patients improve the functionality of their mouths, but also to increase their self-esteem.

Orthodontics is the part of dentistry aimed at the study, prevention and treatment of the position of your teeth. Its objective is to align them correctly and solve problems related to the bite called dental malocclusion.

At ALBERT&BARBER we understand that no two orthodontic treatments are the same, which is why at our orthodontic clinic in Valencia we analyze each case in a personalized way. We will explain in detail what your diagnosis is and what your treatment plan will be like, adapting to the ideal technique for you. In addition, thanks to advances in technology, we can offer you a simulation of your case and, after the orthodontic study, we will offer you the best solution.

Throughout this process, Dr. Carla Barber and her team at the Albert and Barber Clinic remain at the patient's side to answer questions and ensure their well-being.

FIXED ORTHODONTICS WITH BRACKETS

Orthodontics with brackets is one of the most widely used orthodontic systems for years, especially in children and adolescents. Brackets are small pieces made of different materials that are cemented to the surface of the teeth. They are usually made of metal, sapphire or even a gold alloy and are attached to each other by means of archwires.

They are indicated to correct any problem related to malocclusion (open bite, crowding, existence of diastemas, crossbite...).

The difference between metallic and sapphire Bráckets lies simply in the aesthetics, the aesthetic ones offer the sensation that nothing is worn.

FIXED ORTHODONTICS WITH LINGUAL BRACKETS

Traditional braces have an alternative that is so discreet it's almost invisible: Incognito™ lingual orthodontics. This is the ideal solution if you are one of those people who want to achieve a beautiful smile, but don't want any braces to be visible. Because it is placed on the inside of the teeth, lingual orthodontics is imperceptible, you can talk or smile openly and no one will notice that you are wearing braces. You won't notice them either, since their ergonomic design and low profile allow more space for the tongue, making them very comfortable to wear.

All this is possible because each bracket is designed and manufactured to fit the tooth to be fitted. To do this, a sophisticated computer system, 3D technology and robotics are used.

In addition, Incognito™ lingual brackets are made of a gold alloy, so they do not cause reactions in people with metal sensitivities.

INTERCEPTIVE ORTHODONTICS

Interceptive orthodontics corrects the bite when the child is in the growth phase , avoiding major problems in adulthood .

Our interceptive orthodontic treatment stimulates jaw growth and creates space for all permanent teeth. We want to avoid severe malocclusions, which in adulthood could only be solved by surgery.

Interceptive orthodontics also improves bad habits that can deform the bone or palate, creating dental malpositions .

This type of orthodontics is performed on children and adolescents who are growing and can be done with custom-made braces by the laboratory or with invisible orthodontics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Both treatments are totally predictable. However, with orthodontics with aligners, apart from the fact that it is a totally esthetic treatment and that the patient has better accessibility to hygiene, there is a key mechanical advantage; and that is that we can predict the movements to be made and mark the forces we want for each tooth.

  • This depends on the problem presented by the patient, but varies between 8 and 36 months.

  • Malocclusions can be prevented from an early age, so from the age of 6 we can start with very simple functional treatments to avoid future problems that are more easily solved when the patient is still growing.

  • Orthodontic treatment is not a painful treatment, it is an adaptive process and depending on the appliance chosen it is more comfortable to sanitize and get used to it.

  • At the Albert and Barber Clinic we finance all treatments without interest, adapting to the fee you wish to pay month by month.
