PERIODONTAL ORTHODONTICS in Valencia, Spain
Orthodontic treatment can change a person's life.
Dr. Carla Barber is a vocational orthodontist and still remembers what her process with orthodontic treatment was like as a teenager, especially how she felt the day she had her braces removed and saw herself in the mirror. That experience marked him so much that he is now dedicated to helping his patients improve the functionality of their mouths, but also to increase their self-esteem.
Orthodontics is the part of dentistry aimed at the study, prevention and treatment of the position of your teeth. Its objective is to align them correctly and solve problems related to the bite called dental malocclusion.
At ALBERT&BARBER we understand that no two orthodontic treatments are the same, which is why at our orthodontic clinic in Valencia we analyze each case in a personalized way. We will explain in detail what your diagnosis is and what your treatment plan will be like, adapting to the ideal technique for you. In addition, thanks to advances in technology, we can offer you a simulation of your case and, after the orthodontic study, we will offer you the best solution.
Throughout this process, Dr. Carla Barber and her team at the Albert and Barber Clinic remain at the patient's side to answer questions and ensure their well-being.
PERIODONTAL ORTHODONTICS
Periodontal orthodontics aims to improve the clinical signs/symptoms and sequelae of periodontitis progression.
It restores lost function, facial and dental esthetics, improves the patient's access to hygiene, maintains long-term gingival health and allows occlusal and functional stability, which will be a key factor in the long-term maintenance of periodontally compromised teeth, especially in the advanced stages of periodontitis.
The objective of all this is for adult patients to keep their natural teeth longer, resolving dental malocclusions secondary to the progression of periodontitis, gingival recession due to dental malposition, black spaces (pockets) and other pathologies such as bruxism. In all cases Dr. Albert and Dr. Barber assess the risk/benefit from PERIODONTICS AND ORTHODONTICS, explaining the benefits of orthodontic treatment and determining the treatment objectives.
For these treatments they rely on new technologies to perform a 3D study of the treatment and a 3D cranial CBCT to evaluate each case. Thanks to these radiographic images they evaluate the height and thickness of the buccal-lingual alveolar bone, the presence of root resorption and the position of the soft tissues in relation to the bone envelope.
All periodontal patient cases are supervised by both doctors for combined periodontal and orthodontic management.
